The CMHW Quality and Consumer Safety team is a small statewide team providing safety and quality governance and support to Community Mental Health and Wellbeing services. The team provides consult and advice on a range of quality and safety functions and process, such as incident & risk management, accreditation preparedness, consumer feedback and quality improvement.
The Role:
- Provides high level leadership and direction in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of patient safety and risk processes and systems for Community, Mental Health and Wellbeing (CMHW).
- Provides senior leadership and high-level advice to CMHW Services relating to patient safety systems and risk management, including the development of policy, planning, service development and performance reporting.
- this position will work to the direction of the Director Quality and Consumer Safety.
- High level experience and knowledge in quality and safety systems, particularly risk and incident management.
- A working knowledge of a range of accreditation standards, such as NSQHS, Primary and Community Care Standards and NDIS.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise contemporary health information technology, analyse information and provide reports and recommendations.
- Individuals will demonstrate capability to provide the team with a clear direction, inspire a positive attitude and a desire to succeed in staff members at all levels, and will persuade others and influence outcomes (internally and externally).
- Individuals will have demonstrated advanced communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and an ability to liaise on complex issues
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
The position can be located statewide.
- notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $122,365 to $129,060 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant post graduate qualifications
