**About the role**

CatholicCare are seeking a Multi-Disciplinary Specialist to provide initial assessment and intake services to children and young people within the PSP program, in line with the intensive therapeutic care model. The Multi-Disciplinary Specialists work within a broader team to provide assessment, treatment planning, risk assessment and short-term interventions for children and young people in PSP who have experienced abuse, trauma or neglect, helping them to meet their goals.

This is a Max Term Full-time position.

**Duties**
- Ensure compliance with incident management, reporting and escalation requirements and that organisational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding and WHS are met.
- Liaise directly with DCJ in gathering historical information to assist in the individual Client Matching Reports
- Work collaboratively with CAU (Central Access Unit) in identifying matches to current vacancies within CatholicCare
- Administer psychometric, educational and/or functional assessments, to determine next stages of support with children and young people.
- Contribute to reflective practice sessions and team meetings to impart knowledge relating to individual needs of children and young people.

**Skills & experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Speech Pathology, Education, Family Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry or Mental Health Nursing
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Therapeutic Care setting or working in a clinical environment with children and young people in Out of Home Care
- National Criminal History Check and Working with Children's Check
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
