It's an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to Grand Slam. We belief that playing makes life better and our goal is to make tennis more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve this we are looking for a Club Development Officer to join our team at Tennis ACT on a full time, permanent basis.
The Club Development Officer will be responsible for servicing Tennis ACT affiliates to assist in driving growth in tennis participation through supporting stakeholders and by providing outstanding delivery of playing opportunities in the region. This position adheres to Tennis ACT and Tennis Australia strategies and plays an integral role in building sustainable pathways for club-based tennis.

- , in this role you will:_
- Develop positive relationships with clubs and stakeholders within the ACT and region to provide a high level of support and assistance to increase participation and improve club operations
- Lead the delivery and implementation of club operational health initiatives and club development plans
- Drive the adoption and use of national programs and digital platforms to better connect and engage with existing and potential consumers to build tennis participation
- Work with the School Development Coordinator and Coaching teams to maximise the connection between local schools and clubs and facilitate the integration of school to club initiatives to drive the transition of youth
- Assist in the delivery of the Tennis ACT facilities and participation plan, advising on facility improvement and grant support
About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders across a range of organisations including volunteers, coaches, associations, and Local Government Agencies
- Proven ability to influence change and drive behaviour of stakeholders towards a common goal
- High computer literacy with Microsoft suite and database management
- Demonstrated understanding of sports administration, ideally through volunteer experience in club or association level community sport
- An introductory coaching qualification and/or relevant sport officiating qualification or tertiary degree in a relevant field (highly desirable)
- A current Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
