Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Engine Watchkeeper is responsible for maintaining the operational capabilities of the ship\'s engine and mechanical equipment.In addition, the Engine Watchkeeper will be responsible for:Engine room Duty Engineer on rotation as required by the Chief EngineerDeck maintenance and rounds on rotation as required by the Chief EngineerMaintaining propulsion, auxiliary and ancillary machinery to ensure efficient and effective operation of the vessel and in accordance with PMS requirementsMaintaining Self Unloading machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and effective operation and in accordance with PMS requirementsAny other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Company from time to timeAbout youEducational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 3 (required)AMSA Engine Watchkeeper (Class 3) CoC/CoR UnlimitedMinimum 12 months relevant experience in a related role including at least 36 weeks of sea service on vessels with propulsion power =750 kilowattsCertificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable)Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working RightsLiving in AustraliaBe comfortable wearing a respiratorIf you are interested in any of these roles then we love to hear from you
