Job Overview

We are seeking a permanent full-time engine specialist to join our transhipment vessel in Western Australia.

This is a stable, permanent position with a leading coastal shipping company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operational capabilities of the ship's engine and mechanical equipment.

About the Role
  • Maintain the operation of the ship's propulsion, auxiliary, and ancillary machinery
  • Conduct deck maintenance and rounds as required by the chief engineer
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian citizen or unlimited Australian working rights
  • Minimum 6 months' sea time as an engine watchkeeper
  • Certificate of safety training (STCW) and other relevant certifications
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a maritime security identification card (MSIC)
  • Ability to work in a confined space and wear a respirator
