About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Engine Watchkeeper to join our team in Western Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operational capabilities of the ship's engine and mechanical equipment.

  • Performing routine checks and maintenance tasks on the engine room and mechanical systems;
  • Maintaining propulsion, auxiliary, and ancillary machinery to ensure efficient operation of the vessel;
  • Coordinating with the Chief Engineer to plan and prioritize maintenance activities;
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards;

This is a permanent full-time position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Engine Watchkeeper (Class 3) CoC/CoR Unlimited;
  • At least 12 months of relevant experience in a related role, including at least 36 weeks of sea service on vessels with propulsion power 750 kilowatts;
  • A Certificate of Safety Training (STCW);
  • Other qualifications and certifications may be required depending on the specific requirements of the role.
