We're seeking a highly motivated Pedagogy and Practice / National Quality Framework specialist, known at Goodstart as Practice Improvement Area Lead (PIAL), who is focused on developing and supporting their people to make the difference to children and families every day, by creating dynamic and engaged teams across their area.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be prepared to undertake regular travel within your area. As there is no line management to the centre teams, you will have exceptional coaching and influencing skills and be able to guide and support centres on their practice journey. You will need to be a self-starter, who can work in an autonomous way and can keep pace with a busy workload with competing priorities.

Your Impact;
Train, coach and guide Centre Leadership teams to work in a way of continuous improvement, that supports the National Quality Standards and leads to successful Assessment and Rating results
Ensure centres are at a minimum of meeting the NQS, and have achieved or are setting the journey towards exceeding the NQS
Support Educational Leaders and centre teams to use and embed Goodstart practice related tools to drive high quality teaching and learning
Draw on your strong pedagogical understanding to support educators and teachers to set children up for successful learning
Drive and plan for the implementation of centre-based practice improvements that are closely aligned to the EYLF
Support the state practice improvement team to continuously improve quality programs and practices and share best practice, working closely with the National Pedagogy and Practice team
Support inclusive practices in centre's educational program and practice

You'll bring to the table;
Minimum 3- or 4-year University Degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Education
Extensive and recent practice-based early childhood education experience
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including Approved Learning Frameworks and the National Quality Standards
Sound knowledge and understanding of high-quality pedagogy and practice
Ability to motivate and drive a team to focus on continuous improvement
Excellent communication, organisation, evaluation and team leadership skills
Champion and advocate the benefits of early learning and high-quality outcomes in the Birth - 5 Environment
Open Drivers licence and preparation for regular travel
