Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties Proactively plan and undertake assessment and monitoring activities using evidence-based and consistent project management methodology, referring matters and opportunities to other teams within the Office as appropriate.
Craft accessible, relevant and strengths-based guidance to organisations in response to assessment and monitoring activities, with the overall aim of reducing identified risks to children and building the organisation's child-safe capabilities.
Deliver high-level advice to the Office's Executive team on systemic themes emerging from assessment and monitoring activities, with a view to driving wider capability initiatives (such as resource development and targeted education).
Participate in the development and delivery of educational stakeholder engagement activities to build awareness and capability within organisations required to comply with the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023.
Develop and maintain trusting and collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including developing networks and maintaining effective communication pathways with complainants, notifiers and agencies.
Carry a contained caseload of Reportable Conduct Scheme matters as part of the Office's oversight function and maintain a working understanding of how organisations are experiencing compliance with the regulatory scheme.
Support the broader team within the Office with general queries and provide timely advice and guidance to organisations on child-safe practices.
Perform other duties as envisaged by the assigned classification under the relevant award and in accordance with the skills, competence and training of the occupant as required.
Essential Requirements Employment to the Office is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and related vetting including satisfactory a current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable Persons Check (RWVP).
Desirable Requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in regulation/regulatory policy, administrative law, investigations, and/or compliance activity.
A Tasmanian Driver's licence.
