These trains will be built at a new, purpose-built facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast.About the roleThe Senior Commercial Contracts Administrator provides technical contracts administration and oversight for commercial activities within the allocated projects, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager with a delegation to support projects in delivery.Key responsibilitiesAdministration of upstream Head Contract and downstream Supply/Subcontracts including but not limited to:Prepare and review contract notices and variations for internal reviewMaintain commercial registersEnsure performance and delivery of project scopeAssess event impacts, manage claims and extensions of time (EOTs)Support accurate progress claims, forecasting, and reportingFollow contract manuals and lead change management, including design changesCoordinate prompt issuance of subcontracts and supply contracts, ensuring complianceDrive contract management processes, including variation and change claimsCollaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, legal, controls)Assist in negotiations and dispute resolution; provide data for upstream claimsPrepare summaries and reports for Leadership and Executive teams as requiredAbout YouTertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Law, Commerce, Engineering, or similarExtensive experience in commercial/contract management for construction, services, or manufacturingFamiliarity with InEight is advantageousExpertise in both traditional and collaborative contractingStrong negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communicator in multidisciplinary teamsKnowledge of warranty, defects, acceptance, testing, and commissioningAbility to influence stakeholders and lead teams to resolve issuesProactive, decisive, and focused on achieving best commercial outcomesWhy Join Downer Rail and Transit Systems?
