**A little bit about the role**

As
**Manager, Market Risk Transformation**, you support the Head of Market Risk to ensure that Great Southern Bank has a robust risk management framework which supports a changing external and internal environment. With experience in quantitative modelling and analysis of market risk including risk measurement and risk appetite setting, you will work closely with business stakeholders to actively lead the development of analytical models including identification of emerging risks and alignment to new regulatory requirements for Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book.

As a member of the Risk management team, you are someone well informed on the latest best practices in market risk management, financial instrument valuations and market risk modelling. As a SME in market risk, you will influence the decisions of the Asset and Liability Committee and Board, providing comprehensive analytical insights and reporting to support your conclusions and recommendations.

Your key responsibilities will include

**-Leadership** - Accountable for contributing to the day-to-day operations of your team, including ongoing business advice and guidance. You will lead, mentor, support and advise others across our business as they learn and grow in their roles across the Lines of Defence model.

**-Quantitative Modelling and Analytics** - Build, document and maintain market risk models to support effective risk measurement. In turn you will be providing the Executive and Board with confidence that they are making well-informed decisions in the best interests of our customers.

**-Risk Reporting** - Develop, produce, and contribute to risk reporting as is required for regulators, boards, committees, executive management, and leadership teams.You prepare and produce risk analytics and insights to identify high and emerging risks that would have a material impact for Great Southern Bank.

**-Continuous Improvement**:

- You will confidently challenge yourself, teammates and other colleagues in constructive ways that drive better outcomes. Through professional networks, education and training, or independent research you will introduce new thinking to the team.

**A little bit about your expertise**
- Essential experience in a similar risk role within the Financial Services sector.
- Experienced in developing quantitative models to support the measurement of market risk ensuring compliance with regulatory considerations.
- Manage and influence multi-faceted stakeholders (internal and external) to meet competing priorities, different needs, and non-aligned expectations.
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels to clearly communicate good risk management practices
- Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues.
