Mater is looking for an Executive Support Officer to join the team. Supporting our Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer, this is a full-time and permanent role based at Mater Newstead.
**Salary range: Commensurate with experience** plus 11.5% superannuation and **access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900** + **access to many staff benefits
**What you'll be doing**
The Executive Support Officer to the CFO will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer in managing the overall financial operations of a large organisation. This position will possess excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. The ESO will be responsible for providing administrative and strategic support, acting as a liaison between the CFO and internal/external stakeholders.
You will achieve this by:
- Providing support to the Deputy CFO, including coordination with the Health department, beyond the finance department.
- Assist the CFO in managing relationships with stakeholders such as the Board and Funders.
- Offer project support for major finance projects. This will involve coordinating two Steering Committees, creating presentations and reports, and coordinating with external stakeholders and other departments.
**About you**
You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an executive assistant, preferably supporting senior executives in a corporate environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial software.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and business information.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and communication.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively across departments.
