About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Production Lead to join our Kwinana Pigment Processing facility, approx.
35-minute drive south of Perth on a full-time basis
You'll be the go-to person keeping operations running smoothly and safely.
You'll guide a team of supervisors, ensure the safe execution of the production plan, troubleshoot plant issues, and make sure everything from machinery to manpower is firing on all cylinders.
You'll work closely with maintenance, engineering, and planning teams to keep things moving, solve problems on the fly, and make smart decisions that keep production on track.

Your key responsibilities will be:
Lead daily production operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and product quality.
Act as the person in charge for shift operations, ensuring accurate reporting and timely decision-making.
Coordinate team activities to meet plant targets and KPIs, partnering closely with Operations Planning.
Support day and shift supervisors by ensuring adequate staffing, while mentoring and developing team capability.
Maintain training standards for safety and operational procedures.
Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to drive efficiency and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives using the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Adjust) methodology.
Identify and implement cost-saving strategies and process improvements to enhance SQLCT (Safety, Quality, Low Cost Tonnes).
Manage lean, high-performing teams to deliver strategic outcomes with agility and discipline.
To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess:
Proven experience in leading production operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and environmental regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and coordinate shift activities effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
Proficiency in monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially across planning and maintenance functions.
Experience with workforce planning and training in operational procedures.
Familiarity with production planning systems.
