About the Opportunity We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Lifestyle Attendants to expand our team in Mount Gambier, based in the Limestone Coast.
The role will encompass providing personal care and domestic assistance across a seven-day roster.
Varied shift times available:9.00am - 4.00pm weekdays10.00am - 2.00pm 7 days a weekAfter school hours supportsYou will be part of a collaborative team, delivering individualised and flexible support to make a positive impact and enhance the quality of life for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:Provide high quality support to customers with complex high needsDaily living activity assistancePersonal careCommunity participationWillingness to travel between Mount Gambier, Port MacDonnell and Millicent Qualifications and Experience:Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support, or similar qualification (desirable) CPR certificate completed in the last 12 monthsFirst Aid certificate completed in the last 3 yearsManual Handling completed in the last 12 monthsNDIS workers screeningSouth Australian Working with Children screeningNDIS Workers Orientation ModuleNDIS Supporting Safe Meals TrainingNDIS Supporting Effective CommunicationUnderstanding of the Quality & Safeguards Commission's standards Other Requirements:Valid driver's license and willing to transport the customers for community participationPrevious experience utilising intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulationAble to show initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomouslyDemonstrated experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and a sound knowledge of supporting people with challenging behaviours is essentialPassion, professionalism and integrity within their roleA willingness to work with participants, fellow staff, and relevant professionals to support the participants goalsPrevious experience working with childrenPrevious experience with palliative careCustomers are requesting female support workers Benefits Salary packaging benefits (up to $15,899 tax free)Supportive, rewarding, and friendly work environmentRelevant customer specific training provided Member led organisation – our customers are also on our board A Little About Us:For 30 years, Enhanced Lifestyles has been delivering individualised, high-quality support across South Australia, empowering people with disabilities to live independently and make choices that matter.
