Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (Apra) Full time

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced internal communications manager to lead the team responsible for the communication to and engagement of a national, purpose-driven organisation of 800 employees.

**About the role**

You will be empowered to set the internal communications strategy for APRA and oversee the successful operation of the function across strategic, BAU and project initiatives. The role involves steering the long-term strategy to build a best-practice internal communications function, working in partnership with the organisation. At the same time, you will operate in a hands-on capacity to deliver compelling communications, which engage our team and are inclusive of all working in a hybrid manner across the country.

You will lead a team of three and work closely with the broader Corporate Affairs team, helping to manage resources against priorities and drive efficiencies and collaboration across the related disciplines of external communications, digital, and design.

**About you**

You'll bring expertise in evolving forms of communication in the digital, social, events and multimedia space, plus a passion and theoretical knowledge of the value of employee engagement.

**About the organisation**

In recognition, we offer the ability to work for an organisation which truly strives to deliver on its purpose to protect the financial security of all Australians - both today and tomorrow. As Australia's financial services regulator with oversight of banking, superannuation and insurance, APRA steers entities to ensure the stability and security of the industry while also addressing long-term challenges like cyber-risk and climate change.

At APRA, we offer a flexible and supportive workplace, which values inclusion and diversity. There are many employee-networks to participate in, so you will have several opportunities to make a direct and positive impact on the culture of one of Australia's important regulators.

The role is based in Sydney, albeit with a national focus.
