About the team and role

Group Treasury is a small team that operates as a highly collaborative, multi-disciplined unit. Primary responsibilities include managing capital, funding, liquidity and non-traded interest rate risk positions for Bendigo & Adelaide Bank's ~$100 billion balance sheet in accordance with Board risk appetite and policy.

Reporting to the Group Treasurer, the Head of Liquidity Strategy & Planning is responsible for funding and liquidity strategy, planning and analysis including: liquidity modelling (LCR, NSFR), forecasting / monitoring / reporting of BEN's balance sheet position and funding / liquidity requirements, responses to regulatory enquiries, consideration of proposed regulatory changes (impact assessment and strategic response), identification of short and long term wholesale debt issuance requirements, preparation of funding and liquidity materials for external disclosure (e.g. results presentations), provide advice on balance sheet efficiency / value creation initiatives, funding and liquidity governance.

**The incumbent will also be responsible for**:
recommending appropriate limits / targets / triggers for BEN funding and liquidity metrics based on regulatory requirements, stress test outcomes, rating agency considerations, competitor positioning, etc
BEN's funding and liquidity stress testing framework
managing Treasury's relationships with key stakeholders across front-line business, Finance and Risk teams
providing support on funding and liquidity matters for BEN's investor relations program and M&A activities; and
BEN's Contingency Funding Plan and the funding and liquidity aspects of BEN's Recovery Plan.

Lead a team of five to six. Flexible role location. Preferably based in Melbourne, Adelaide or Sydney.

Experience, capabilities and qualifications

Extensive experience in bank funding and liquidity management and APS210 knowledge required. Potential opportunity for someone looking to step up into the lead role in a Treasury funding and liquidity management team.
Extensive experience in bank capital management required.
Sound knowledge of domestic and international securitisation markets and the utilisation of these markets by the Bank in best achieving its overall funding goals and objectives.
Knowledge of the concepts and frameworks surrounding debt capital market and securitisation transactions.
Effective negotiation and influencing skills
Tertiary qualifications in a finance related and/or quantitative discipline
