Overview
Light Vehicle Fitter for a 14/7 roster with a strong background in
road transport or civil mobile plant
. This role involves working on a wide range of machines, including road trucks and civil mobile equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation.
Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard.
Source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systems.
Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
Conduct technical inspections and job estimations.
Road trucks: Scania, Isuzu, Mack
Civil mobile equipment: CAT 140, CAT 14M graders, 20T rollers, water carts
General support vehicles across a large operation
About You
Heavy diesel or LV trade qualified
Experience across both trucks and mobile civil gear
Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Safety-focused with a proactive attitude
Experience in Vehicle Air Conditioning systems desired
Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of Toyota vehicles
You will also need to possess a high regard for and practice health and safety at all times
