Product Owner - Education Platform Contract until January 2026 Sydney-based Hybrid (2-3 days onsite/week)Daily Rate: $900-$1100 + GST (flexible for the right candidate)Potential to go permanentWe're looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the evolution of an innovative Education Platform, serving a broad range of users including learners, corporate partners, and key stakeholders.In this role, you'll drive the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital systems supporting student applications and participant management.
You'll also act as the bridge between business needs and technical execution-ensuring user-focused solutions that align with organisational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent platform user needs and deliver solutions aligned with learner and partner expectationsLead stakeholder engagement across faculties and business unitsManage complex programs of work using Agile (SAFe) principlesAnalyse data to guide planning and decision-makingCoordinate cross-functional teams to deliver business line productsBalance multiple priorities while ensuring delivery on time and to quality standardsSkills & AttributesStrong interpersonal and influencing skills; confident engaging stakeholders at all levelsExceptional organisational and time-management skills-able to manage competing deadlinesAnalytical mindset with a data-driven approach to planning and evaluationCollaborative leadership style with the ability to drive large, complex projects forwardKnowledge & ExperienceSolid understanding of Agile delivery, ideally with exposure to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)Extensive experience in product ownership, project management, and stakeholder managementStrong background in the education sector, particularly with non-traditional learning models (e.g., online, modular, SFLs)Proven ability to manage and prioritise a product backlog in cross-functional teamsDemonstrated experience in portfolio development and delivery within large organisationsFamiliarity with the postgraduate learning landscape and digital learning innovationIf you're a driven Product Owner with experience in educational innovation and a strong track record of delivering impact in complex environments, we'd love to hear from you.Level 7, 341 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000
