**Responsibilities**:
We're seeking a visionary Head of Developer Relations to lead our efforts in engaging and nurturing the global developer community. - Lead a high-performing team dedicated to building and nurturing relationships with the developer community.
- Own the education path for our community (not just the strategy, the execution path)
- Develop and implement strategies to engage, support, and grow the developer ecosystem around Atlassian products.
- Own the vision, strategy, and execution of developer advocacy programs, including events, content creation, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, content designers, and marketing specialists to ensure developers have the resources and support they need to succeed.
- Set team goals and key performance indicators that align with Atlassian's mission and drive maximum impact on our developer community.
- Champion the developer community to internal Atlassian teams, and influence engineering and product management to prioritise changes needed by the developer community.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the Developer Relations team.
- Represent Atlassian at industry events, conferences, and meetups to build strong relationships with the developer community.

Qualifications:

- First and foremost you are a tinkerer, you love to be on the tools trying things, experimenting. You have a strong technical background and a deep curiosity.
- We're looking for someone who can coach and lead a team, while being involved, on stage, hosting events, building demos. Leading by example.
- 7+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent people management skills with a passion for developing and mentoring team members.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing strategies to engage and support developer communities.
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of developer tools, APIs, and platforms.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, design, and marketing.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Experience running (and speaking at) live developer conferences and events.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage ambiguity and complexity in an organised and structured way.
- Passion for developer communities and a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Experience in a remote-first or distributed work environment is a plus.**Our perks & benefits**
