Purpose of the Role
This dual role combines professional front-of-house reception duties with junior-level event coordination responsibilities to support the daily operations of the College's Headquarters.
As the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the College, you will provide a warm, polished, and professional welcome, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for corporate guests, students, graduates, partners, and staff.
In addition, you will play a key role in the planning and delivery of a range of College events – from internal meetings and programs to student, graduate, and partner events - providing administrative and on-the-ground support, including managing bookings, coordinating catering and logistics, and maintaining the HQ events calendar.
This is a dynamic role that requires exceptional communication skill
Key Accountabilities
Front of House Reception & Visitor experience
Act as the first point of contact for all visitors to the College's corporate floor, providing a warm, professional, and efficient front-of house experience.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, building management, and external vendors to support the delivery of high-quality front-of-house services.
Room, venue management & event coordination
Manage internal room and venue bookings for staff meetings, internal programs, partner events, and graduate activities, ensuring all logistics are handled smoothly.
Coordinate external room hire for HQ spaces, including responding to enquiries, confirming bookings, issuing agreements, and liaising with building management, catering providers, and security to ensure smooth delivery.
Manage the HQ events calendar, maintaining an accurate, up-to-date schedule of all bookings and activities across corporate and program events.
Plan and facilitate student, graduate, and corporate events and meetings, including coordination of catering, room set-up (furniture, AV, signage), and liaising with external suppliers as needed.
Liaise with partner organisations on hosting events at the College's premises, ensuring seamless planning and execution.

About you
Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Tertiary qualification in Business, Communications, Events or Hospitality Management is desirable but not essential
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is advantageous
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) may be beneficial
Experience with venue booking or event coordination systems is a plus.
Inherent Role Requirement
Working full-time on-site in the Sydney CBD office.
Experience, Skills and Attributes
Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, or client-facing administrative role in a corporate, education, or professional environment
Proven ability to plan and coordinate meetings, events, or room bookings, including handling catering and logistics
Experience managing external enquiries and providing high-level customer service to diverse stakeholder groups
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
Confident in liaising with internal teams and external service providers (e.g. catering, facilities, security)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with booking systems or CRM platforms highly regarded
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
