Job Summary

This position is critical to the business and pivotal to the success of Cubic operations. It is a key role on multiple facets not limited to Asset Management, Configuration Management, Inventory Management, Financial and Project Delivery.

Reporting to the Customer Channels & Asset Manager this role will support the Service Asset and Configuration Management, Warehouse, Workshop and Field Services teams.

The Asset and Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for analysing and managing the physical assets and inventory data. This role ensures the accuracy of inventory records, optimizing asset utilization and providing insights to support decision-making processes. The specialist will work closely with various departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and asset management practices, ensure compliance with company policies, and support operational efficiency.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate records of assets and inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Track, update and monitor lifecycle of assets, inventory and consumables within the CMDB.
- Generate and analyse inventory and asset reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Analyse data with statistical techniques in aid of decision making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to asset and inventory management.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance and other departments to align inventory levels with business needs.
- Implement strategies to minimize asset loss and conduct investigations as necessary.
- Participate in assessment of quality compliance and Audits.
- Monitor processes and implement change to meet business requirements.
- Actively contribute to the continual improvement of the Asset and Inventory management processes.
- Assist with redeveloping Service Now to become an accurate configuration and asset management reporting tool.
- Demonstrate initiative and ownership for assigned tasks.
- Work collaboratively and support all team initiatives.
- Adapt quickly to change, providing appropriate levels of support to team members.
- Be flexible to meet operational requirements as necessary.

Minimum Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in inventory analysis, asset management or a related role.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- Analysing data using statistical techniques and providing reports.
- Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Attention to detail and with high data integrity.
- Knowledge of inventory management, asset management lifecycle, concepts and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Service Now Asset portfolio and SAP required.
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills is a must to develop reports and produce data stories.
- Experience in Audits and ISO IEC within Service Management Systems.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and achieve tight targets.
- Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
- Exemplary written, oral communication and organization skills.

Required
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics or a related field.

Desirable
- Knowledge of Service Now Assets, SAP and Inventory Management
- ISO IEC 20000 Foundation (desirable) or Practitioner (preferable)
- Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Certified Inventory Management Professional (CIMP)
- Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP)
- ITIL V4 Foundations Qualified

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and the confidence to liaise across multiple levels of the organization.
- High level attention to detail.
- Demonstrated focus on delivering optimal service / results to customers.
- Demonstrated positive work ethic and ability to assume pro-active responsibility for all facets of the role.
- Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision.
- Demonstrated prioritization, clear communication and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be able to work under project deadlines pressures, and associated schedule constraints.
