Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator who will be a primary support role for the Marketing and Communications team within Brookfield Properties. This role is a parental leave cover, with an initial 9-month max-term contract.

This is an opportunity for an aspiring marketing professional to cut their teeth running small marketing events, activations and drafting communications, while also undertaking administration duties.

This multi-faceted role will allow you to develop your marketing and communications skills by supporting our sponsorships and memberships, developing lease proposals, and assisting to execute on our internal communication needs.

You will be working with a bright, creative and energetic marketing team who are responsible for delivering on Brookfield Properties' brand strategy in Australia, as well as our customer engagement strategies across digital and physical placemaking activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Co-ordinating events with our sponsors and industry partners, such as the Property Council of Australia
- Drafting internal communications
- Briefing in design work to internal and external agencies
- Drafting presentations for internal and external events
- Assisting with ad hoc requests for company information, including images, logos, case studies and portfolio data
- Drafting speeches
- Booking entertainment
- Operate in accordance with the Brookfield values, brand guidelines and business objectives.
- Ensure work is all work accurate, best in class and produced in a timely manner
- Raise Purchase Orders and onboard suppliers to our financial payments system
- Monitor external invoicing to ensure Brookfield Properties is being charged correctly and at fair market rates.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Provide marketing support to operations and property team such as through PowerPoint presentations and special events support.
- External customers include industry partners and sponsor partners, creative agencies, online agencies, printers, PR agencies, event companies etc.
- Internal customers include anyone within Brookfield and Brookfield Properties.
- Liaise regularly with all parts of the business to obtain current and accurate information.

About You:

- A recent graduate or 1-2 years marketing experience
- Experience in commercial property highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing and related discipline with a background in property or financial services
- Good writing, researching, editing and proofreading skills.
- Fresh and creative thinker.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Collaborative and positive approach to teamwork with strong relationship skills.
- Attention to detail and results oriented.
- Excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise competing deadlines
