This is a unique opportunity to use your financial expertise to directly support the creation of Australia's best journalism.Day to day you will:Act as a strategic finance partner to editorial leaders, providing them with clear, actionable financial insights.Manage and control the entire Editorial cost base, with a specific focus on staff and content-related expenses.Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.QualificationsWhat you'll bring: Previous experience in finance or commercial accounting, with a degree and/or a CA/CPA qualification.Proven business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and translate financial concepts for non-finance teams.Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.Experience in media/publishing, managing staff costs, and using systems such as D365, TM1, SAP, or Tableau is ideal Additional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
