**Technical Release Lead**
**9 months contract with a view to extending**
**$1100 p/d**
**Hybrid model**:
This role is a hands-on technical role leading the planning and delivery for the successful release of software into various testing and production environments.

**Key Requirements**:

- Creating and enhancing Azure DevOps build and release pipelines
- Defining source code management policies including branching strategies
- Strong demonstrated experience with large scale and complex system releases
- Strong understanding of Change control and Configuration Management processes
- Coordination of releases into production and non-production environments ensuring a traceable, repeatable, improvable and fast process in support of a methodology based on agile work practices
- Review existing processes and tools to continuously improve the DevOps environment
- Prepare and coordinate change requests and represent changes at the Change Control Board meetings

**Skills and experience**:

- 5+ years experience in coordinating releases as part of a technology delivery process within a large organization
- Solid experience working in a DevOps environment.
- Experience with process design and automation
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps/Jenkins).
- Hands-on experience releasing into MS Windows, including construction of XML transforms
- (Desirable) - Experience with C# and.NET development
- (Desirable) - Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, PERL
