About UsHitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityWith strong growth in our Remanufacturing (Component rebuild) division, Hitachi is actively seeking a motivated individual to join the team in the position of Workshop Fitter.
This opportunity will see you overhaul a range of mining machine major components to OEM specifications in a professional, timely manner.Based in our Forrestdale branch, you will also be responsible for:You will be trained to perform major component overhauls on a wide range of componentsEnsuring all work carried out is performed in a safe mannerCompletion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reportsMaintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standardsTo be successful in this role:You will have a relevant trade qualificationHave a strong mechanical aptitude and be willing to learnHigh Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regardedA safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principlesGood communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEMBenefitsPermanent Full Time Position in a leading OEM with long term job securityRewarding pay + company biannual bonus potential Rewarding employee benefits on a range of goods and services with exclusive staff discountsOngoing training and opportunities for upskilling with access to the latest technologiesSupportive management who value your input in finding new and improved ways to achieving successBe a part of a leading OEM which genuinely values and ensures everyone is happy and safe at work
