About The Role

Join our dynamic Mobile Maintenance team at Newman Operations, situated in the Pilbara Region on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Due to Capability Growth within the Workshop Team, we are now looking to employ additional Staff on a permanent basis.

As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our operations, working with both breakdown and planned maintenance teams. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading mining company while advancing your career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Workshop based Position, 8 / 6 / 7 / 7 Roster
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on heavy diesel equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, and refurbish engines and components, primarily on CAT 793F Trucks and CAT 785 Watercarts.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.

About You

Ability to commit to 8 days on, 6 days off, followed by 7 nights on, 7 nights off, with FIFO arrangements from PerthTrade Qualified Heavy Diesel FitterPrevious experience in mining or a transferrable industry with larger sized earthmoving equipment preferredKnowledge of CAT engines is desirableExperience in maintaining and diagnosing mobile equipment is highly regardedTeam-focused, with a strong commitment to safety in the workplaceAbility to work effectively as part of a diverse team
