Working in Aged Care can be an extremely rewarding and valuable experience.
While many residents might otherwise miss out on contact from people within the local community, volunteers provide this important link and offer both companionship and casual, friendly communication.
Volunteers get to share in first-hand personal stories and experiences from our resident's past while adding a new brightness to their present.Who should volunteer?
Anyone.
You don't need experience or any special skill, simply a willingness to join in activities and an interest in having a chat.What Would I Be Doing?
The most fundamental role of a volunteer is to provide companionship, so a priority is placed upon listening and talking to our residents.
As well as this, there is host of other activities you could be involved in such as arts, gardening, joining the residents for a bus outing, reading, games etc.How Do I Register?
Simply make an enquiry by clicking the "Interested" botton and we will be in touch with you so we can explore your suitablity and advise on the orientation process and During the interview process we will explore your suitability and advise on completion of relevant documentation and the orientation process.A Police Check is mandatory.
Following the conclusion of the legislative requirements, you will be introduced to our Lifestyle team for induction.
