**Why volunteer?**

Working in Aged Care can be an extremely rewarding and valuable experience. While many residents might otherwise miss out on contact from people within the local community, volunteers provide this important link and offer both companionship and casual, friendly communication. Volunteers get to share in first-hand personal stories and experiences from our resident's past while adding a new brightness to their present.

**Who should volunteer?**

Anyone. You don't need experience or any special skill, simply a willingness to join in activities and an interest in having a chat.

**What Would I Be Doing?**

The most fundamental role of a volunteer is to provide companionship, our residents enjoy regular social outings into the community, so a priority on this role would be driving the residents around in the bus with assistance of qualified staff members accompanying you.

If interested an array of alternate options are available, e.g. gardening with residents, completing puzzles with residents, and general socialization with residents.

**How Do I Register?**

A Police Check and full Covid vaccination are mandatory. Following the conclusion of the legislative requirements, you will be introduced to our Lifestyle team for induction.
