About the role?

Our Food and Menu offering has developed and diversified in recent years, and is continuing to evolve to stay both modern & fresh, while being true to our Brand DNA of delicious Peri-Peri chicken and chips.

Embedded in our Commercial Division, the Food Manager ANZ role is critical within Nando's ANZ to ensure the successful implementation of the ANZ food strategy in line with Nando's Global Food Manifesto.- FOOD EXCELLENCE - using Customer Experience insights as a guide, strive to continually improve our existing food and beverage offerings across all channels, seeking best in class customer & restaurant results.- EMBEDDING NPD - working with Nando's Marketing to take NPD briefs and develop them into new menu items in accordance with Nando's Brand guidelines.- FOOD TECHNICAL SKILLS - bring into the business technical food skills for taste, flavor, nutritional analysis and food presentation.- ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT - be the voice of food in the execution of the ANZ Food Strategy, which includes NPD & innovation, menu optimization and continuous Improvement of core products. Globally, be the ANZ "connector & supporter" for implementation of global initiatives which will have global leadership and resource.- SUPPORT CONSUMERS AND OPERATIONS - Balance innovation complexity for our customers with simplicity for Back of House Operations at the forefront whilst executing Food in a highly consultative way so that consumer needs, are met in conjunction with seamless operational execution in restaurant for all menu changes.

Who are we looking for?- Degree qualified - ideally with Food Science qualifications / former Chef, to therefore have strong Food Technical skills in relation to taste, nutritional profiles and product development.- Multi-site hospitality experience coupled with a depth in a Food related area e.g. R&D, NPD, Quality, Value Creation etc.- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and influencing ability to develop strong authentic relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders us a critical requirement for this role.- Experience with Procurement Teams to be able to demonstrate Commercial considerations as part of Food development.- A willingness to be 'hands on' in the development and execution of menu improvements both at a supplier and restaurant level.
