The Brand Partnerships and Creative Team is a Centre of Excellence (COE) within the Marketing & Corporate Affairs function. This Brand COE is accountable for developing and managing the Group's Brand Strategy, Brand Communications and Go-to-market campaigns, Brand Partnerships and Brand Content to drive overall brand health and reputation metrics. It is also home to CBAGENCY, CommBank's internal creative agency.
The Brand Partnerships Team performs an important role within the Brand COE to develop and manage a national partnership portfolio and to guide best practice sponsorship strategy, ambassador and influencer approach and broader activation advice.
The Brand Partnerships Chapter is currently expanding, adding two Activation Manager roles to lead and support in the activation of our key Brand Partnership properties, as-well as other core activation requirements across Marketing more broadly.
**Do work that matters**
The Activation Manager, Brand Partnerships reports into the Chapter Lead, Brand Partnerships. You will support in the creation and delivery of our activation strategies and plans to drive Brand strength, Reputation and NPS for CommBank.
You will deliver activations for our hero brand properties including Cricket Australia (Women's, Men's, A Sport for All, Pathway and Community), Football Australia (CommBank Matildas, Subway Socceroos, CommBank ParaMatildas, CommBank Pararoos, Pathway and Community), SXSW Sydney, CommBank Stadium plus one-off tent-pole partnerships as required (i.e. ICC T20 Women's World Cup, 2020; FIFA Women's World Cup, 2023).
You will also work with teams across Marketing more broadly to deliver activations deemed critical to broader Brand and Marketing objectives.
You will have the opportunity to work with some of the best agencies in Australia to deliver this work, which will require a collaborative style, a clarity of direction and a constant pursuit of excellence.
**In any given week, your responsibilities may include**:
- Planning and implementing innovative brand activation strategies to engage core audiences, differentiate CommBank from the competition and deliver to success metrics. You will create rational and emotional connections with these audiences, providing reasons to think and feel more positively about CommBank.
- Working closely with the Partnership Team plus other Marketing Teams to bring activations to life; working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful implementation.
- Proactively identifying and creating opportunities for brand engagement, which requires you to stay up to date with marketing trends and technologies.
- Developing and managing a Brand Activations calendar, laddering up to Bank and Brand strategies and Marketing Plan objectives.
- Tracking activations with robust reporting including ROI and making proactive recommendations for optimisations and future success.
- Providing guidance and advice on activation delivery and risk management to a range of internal stakeholders.
- Implementing core sponsorship assets, such as signage, tickets, at-match activity and marketing integration opportunities, to drive maximum value from our partnership rights and benefits.
- Managing project plans and working groups of cross-functional stakeholders to effectively deliver activations and initiatives.
- Budget tracking and management.
**Importantly, you will also**:
- Flow to work as per CommBank's Pace model, as required. This may include other sponsorship work, i.e. Cricket, Football, SXSW Sydney, CommBank Stadium and CommBank Next Chapter activities.
- Adapt and drive a strong risk culture in the team.

**We're interested in hearing from people who have**:
- Demonstrated experience being a well-rounded marketer, with Partnerships, Sponsorships and Activations experience highly preferred.
- A deep understanding of cross team collaboration - you are able to integrate and drive collaboration and has great stakeholder management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - you will need to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple and varied tasks.
