About You
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
Minimum of 10 years' experience in in civil construction, depending on role
BSc in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
Road, Rail or major infrastructure experience preferred
Knowledge of the Melbourne construction market and subcontractors preferred
Strong attention for detail and proven communication skills
Strong / proven experience in the understanding and administration of contract rights and obligations upon complex infrastructure projects
Skills &Responsibilities
The successful candidates will possess all the necessary qualities of a Senior Contract Administrator/Quantity Surveyor while providing specialist services in cost estimation, cost forecasting, procurement, quality assurance, finance reporting and other specialist commercial functions:
Tendering, procurement and bid analysis;
Compilation, assessment and agreement of submitted tenders, providing updates on any commercial / contractual clarifications
Contract administration
Cost Forecasting
Quantification of costing of construction works
Preparation and assessment of progress claims
Change Management – Variation claims preparation & assessments
Preparation of commercially astute correspondence
Ability to meet with liaise with clients and other professional consultants
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
Analysis of facts and evidence including records and notices
Ability to give clients an honest appraisal of their contractual and commercial position
Advise clients on claims strategy, making recommendations on how our client's specific claim objectives can be achieved
Preparation, negotiation and presentation of quantum, delay and disruption claims
