Waverley Social Enterprise (WSE) is a Supported Employment provider combining a caring culture with a strong commercial focus on practical support. Employing 330 adults with varying abilities and 60 staff across two sites, it generates revenue exceeding $12 million.

As CEO, you will lead, inspire and encourage an executive team of four to realise strategic objectives. By delivering financial and operational stewardship you will enhance the organisation's reputation and prosperity on behalf of its participants.

Position Profile

Chief Executive Officer
DIRECTLY REPORTS TO: Board of Directors

1. JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is to lead, inspire and mentor the Executive Management Team (EMT) whilst overseeing the management of day-to-day operations, its people, and resources. The CEO is responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the company and will closely coordinate and work with the Board of Directors and EMT.
The CEO will oversee and implement the strategy approved by the board and ensure that the organisation's structure and processes meet and exceed the strategic and cultural needs that fulfil the organisation's mission, vision, and values.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Drives revenue and income by promoting productivity improvements to minimise costs where needed

- Develops and maintains effective relationships with stakeholders.

- Oversee financial performance and risk profile while ensuring that all compliance and regulatory obligations are met
- Report to the Board of Directors with accurate and timely information regarding Waverley's overall performance, including financials, risk ratings, compliance, and growth prospects.

6. JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated and extensive senior leadership experience, preferably leading an organisation and reporting to a Board.
- A contemporary knowledge of good governance and the ability to work effectively with a Board, providing high level strategic and policy advice.
- Demonstrated track record of high-level commercial and financial acumen, and strong strategic and analytical skills, including accountability for organisational growth, as well as day-to-day business operations, financial management, corporate governance, and risk management, ensuring the long-term viability of the organisation.
- Commercial experience in the provision of products &/or services for the industrial sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of the NDIS and disability system in Australia
- Understanding of corporate legal responsibilities within the not-for-profit sector.
