**Ready for Work Facilitator - contract role**

**About the Program**: Ready for Work is part of the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, designed to help job seekers transition into the workforce by providing them with essential practical skills. The program is particularly focused on supporting individuals who are ineligible for Australian Government employment services or who are disadvantaged and require additional assistance.

**The Role**: As the Ready for Work Program Facilitator, you will play a key role in delivering this impactful program, guiding participants through a structured course designed to enhance their employability. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others achieve their goals, particularly individuals facing barriers to employment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate Training**: Deliver job search assistance and training, including resume preparation, interview skills, job search strategies, and understanding employer expectations.
- Support Participants: Provide tailored guidance to participants, helping them to develop the skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce.
- Networking: Foster relationships with local businesses and employers, facilitating opportunities for participants to network and learn from industry professionals.
- Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program outcomes, ensuring all required reports are completed and submitted to stakeholders.
- Community Engagement: Actively promote the program within the community, engaging with potential participants, businesses, and other stakeholders.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Relevant experience in training, career coaching, or employment and/or community services.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged job seekers and a commitment to providing supportive, inclusive services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with participants, businesses, and community organisations.
- Experience in facilitating group sessions or workshops is highly desirable.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings to meet service needs.
- Valid Driver's License, Police Check, and current Blue Card required.

Desirable Skills:

- Knowledge of local job markets and employment services in Brisbane's Southside.
- Experience in community outreach or working with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative or similar programs.
- Marketing experience related to service promotion (not required but advantageous)

**Pay Range**: $33.41 - $37.35 per hour

**Contract**: Fixed-term until 31 July 2025
