Job Title: Employment Facilitator

Are you passionate about helping others achieve their employment goals? We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Employment Facilitator. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering our impactful program, guiding participants through a structured course designed to enhance their employability.

About the Program

The Ready for Work program is part of the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, aimed at helping job seekers transition into the workforce by providing them with essential practical skills. The program focuses on supporting individuals who are ineligible for Australian Government employment services or who are disadvantaged and require additional assistance.

The Role

As the Employment Facilitator, you will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating training sessions, including resume preparation, interview skills, job search strategies, and understanding employer expectations.
  • Providing tailored guidance to participants, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce.
  • Negotiating with local businesses and employers to facilitate opportunities for participants to network and learn from industry professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate records of participant progress and program outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in training, career coaching, or employment and/or community services.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged job seekers and a commitment to providing supportive, inclusive services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with participants, businesses, and community organisations.
