Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Education Full time

About the Role
You will be Manager in the Central Office team for Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives, leading the implementation of a new integrated response support model and managing significant change in the way the department and schools approach school-community partnerships.

**Equity and Excellence**: Realising the potential of every student aims to create more equitable conditions so that all schools enable all students to realise their potential. A small number Queensland state schools in the most complex communities will receive a specialised system response that supports them to collaborate with partners and across government agencies to deliver locally responsive and integrated strategies to benefit students and their communities. Implementing this initiative will be an exciting journey with lots to learn and many complexities to be managed.
We are seeking exceptional and experienced people who believe that school-community partnerships are the key to social change and who can provide and lead the project and central office functions required for success. If this sounds like you, then this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for. The department recognises that valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through co-design and building the cultural capability of all staff benefits every student and all our work.

**You will have responsibility for, but not be limited to**:

- Providing specialist and contextualised advice regarding an integrated response support model for schools in complex communities to decision makers at different levels of the Department of Education.
- Building effective working relationships with other government bodies and community organisations, including the provision of public information on programs, activities or services and representing the department at meetings, conferences or seminars.
- Formulating strategy and work plans arising from analysis of inter-and intra-organisational supports for an integrated response support model for schools in complex communities.
- Providing central-office coordination, connection and support for four local integrated response teams and managing the Project Officer in the Central Office Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives team.
- Undertaking specific lines of evidence or policy synthesis with regard to contemporary Australian examples of integrated.

How to apply
- Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history)
- Provide a 2-page written statement about how your achievements and capabilities meet the requirements of the role, as outlined in the attached role description.

Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
Applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.
