The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Payroll and Budget Planning Coordinator. This position is responsible for managing the NGV's payroll service providers and for developing budgets, forecasts and preparing reports.

ABOUT THE POSITION
You will manage the NGV's payroll service providers to ensure they meet NGV's security, compliance, performance and service requirements. Responsibly managing risk, including Superannuation and PAYG obligations and contract management. Other key responsibilities include:

- Assisting the NGV in its transition to a managed service for payroll by assisting the Project Manager with the documentation of workflows and procedures and ensuring ongoing data integrity.
- Managing the attendance system (HumanForce), dealing with fortnightly processing, troubleshooting configuration changes.
- Consulting with the Head of Human Resources and the Human Resources Manager, to develop budgets and forecasts for Human Resources costs at the NGV. Preparing reports to meet business and compliance needs, including for EOFY, government and legislative requirements.
- Creating meaningful interpretations of data and trends, relating to talent acquisition, attrition, diversity and HR operational metrics to enable senior managers to make effective decisions.
- Contributing to relevant HR audits including the NGV's response to findings and recommendations. Ensuring that records are created and managed according to the Records Management policy and procedures.

To be successful, you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, coupled with demonstrable knowledge, ability and confidence in payroll, budgeting, and workforce planning.

You identify gaps and look for logical sequences of information, using analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems and identify and propose workable solutions to problems. You observe fine details, seek all relevant information for problem-solving, identify gaps and look for logical sequences of information. This role will require preparing and monitoring expenditure against budgets, raises resource issues in a constructive and solution focused way and uses honest, transparent and appropriate purchasing processes.

Qualifications in Accounting would be advantageous. Knowledge of Aurion and Humanforce software would be highly beneficial.
