**FlexiHome Care** provides a wide range of in-home and community care support services to disabled people of all ages. We provide flexible disability support services that are centred on the client's needs and want. We provide our participant services beyond what is expected from us as we want to give them the best life they can achieve within our capability.
**Purpose of Role**
- The main purpose of the Rostering Officer is to look after the daily rosters and staffing matters for staff (primarily disability support workers). This role will have the sole responsibility of ensuring the smooth running of services by ensuring shifts have been allocated, shift cancellations are addressed and staff-compliant matters are escalated to appropriate personnel._
**Main duties and responsibilities**
Core objectives include:
- Managing all rostering matters including addressing and resolving shift cancellations, open shifts and general rostering;
- Maintaining a strong understanding of employee experience and geographic location as well as client background and services required, to match an employee with a shift;
- Escalating staff complaints from clients and non-compliance matters to Care Coordination;
- Informing Care Coordination and HR of staffing needs on a regular basis;
- Being proactive and analysing potential staffing shortages and taking steps to inform the relevant stakeholders
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders including employees and client families, being aware of client needs and preferences and allocating staff accordingly, to meet those needs;
- Rostering in alignment with legislative guidelines (sleepovers, breaks, broken shifts and overtime)
- Ensuring the smooth running of services
- Documenting staffing issues and their status on the Client Services Register

**Person Specification**
**Qualifications**
- Business Administration, Human Resources or Cert 3 or 4 in disability (preferred but not essential)
**Experience**
- Previous experience in rostering, resource allocation or scheduling role.
- Experience in disability, aged care or nursing sector.
**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award (highly desirable but training available)
**Skills & competencies**
- Strong communication, problem solving, time management and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive/Sheets and Rostering Systems (Connecteam highly desired)
- Be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organised and customer service focused
- Working rights (visa, PR or Citizen)

**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
