First Connections is a reputable early childhood education provider, dedicated to offering high-quality care and education to children and families across Sydney. Our brand-new centre in Schofields is opening soon, and we are seeking a passionate and experienced Nominated Supervisor to lead our team.

Position Summary: As the Nominated Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our new service. With a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, you will oversee all aspects of the service's operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a positive learning environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strong leadership and guidance to our team of educators, promoting a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices to maintain high standards of care and education.
- Collaborate with the Area Manager to set and achieve key performance indicators and operational targets.
- Lead the recruitment, induction, and professional development of staff, supporting their growth and development.
- Build positive relationships with families, actively engaging and communicating with them to address their needs and concerns.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, including rostering, budget management, and resource allocation.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Nominated Supervisor in an early childhood education setting.
- Bachelor of Teaching/Education or equivalent qualification or working towards completion.
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR certification.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and frameworks governing early childhood education.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proven ability to effectively manage resources and achieve operational targets.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in early childhood education.
