The Opportunity:

- Austunnel is currently seeking a number of mechanical fitters with extensive TBM experience to join our team.

Responsibilities/Duties:

- Perform assembly, commissioning and maintenance of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) at the commencement and ongoing production phases of major infrastructure projects;
- Fault find and repair tunnelling plant;
- Support other trades and personnel during the production stage of tunnelling;
- Provide technical support to other areas as required.

Must have:

- Australian Recognised Mechanical (e.g. Engineering, Mobile Plant, Diesel/Auto Mechanic) Trade Qualification;
- Excellent attitude, focus and understanding towards working safely, including following all procedures on site and wearing correct PPE;
- Experience with hydraulics;
- Experience assembling and commissioning Tunnel Boring Machines and other tunnelling support plant;
- General Safety Induction Card (White Card);
- Availability to work night shift, rotating rosters and weekend rosters.
- Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) assembly and maintenance;
- Roadheader, jumbo or shotcrete rig maintenance;
- Excavator or dump truck/moxy maintenance;
- Formwork gantry assembly;
- Conveyor systems assembly and maintenance.
