Job Description

**The Role**

As Service Manager you will coordinate the provision of Family Intervention Services to children, young people, and their families and provide expertise and support to other Special Works across the State.

The key objective of this position is to support staff in their work with clients of Child Safety Service Centres where ongoing intervention with a family is required, to assist clients to exit the child protection system and prevent families from re-entering the system. This position also respects and reflects the Society's mission.

The Service Manager holds clinical and management responsibility for the provision of high-quality services and program development. This responsibility involves supervision of staff, service development, and liaison with Government Departments and other stakeholders.

This position requires staff to work in compliance with the Human Services Quality Framework Standards and the Child Protection Act 1999. Staff are also required to adhere to the Society's mission and values.

This is a **PERMANENT FULL TIME Position (38 hours per week)** based in** TOOWOOMBA.**

Desired Skills and Experience

**To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria**:

- Minimum tertiary qualification degree in social work, psychology, social sciences, or a related discipline. Post graduate qualification would be highly regarded.
- Significant experience in clinical and therapeutic management of clients with complex care needs, 5 years and more.
- Demonstrated achievements in providing leadership in a related field, leading a professional clinical and therapeutic service, demonstrating contemporary management practices, best practice methods and quality improvement and operation in an integrated service environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Queensland child protection system including relevant legislation such as the Child Protection Act 1999.
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
- COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement.
