Key Engineering Position

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of engineering principles and can collaborate with senior technical leaders to develop long-term architecture that is scalable and flexible.
We are looking for an individual who can bring simple yet powerful solutions to other engineers, leveraging AI and low-code or no-code toolsets to improve builder productivity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the forward-looking technical direction, ensuring alignment with Atlassian products and platforms, and partnering with principal engineers and architects from other teams to drive exploration of large-scale projects.
Additionally, the role involves mentoring, hiring, and developing other engineers, as well as defining and revising standards for operational excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain long-term architecture for Ecosystem and Marketplace
Collaborate with product, engineering, and design leaders to understand and influence department-level strategy
Ensure technical strategy aligns with Atlassian products and platforms
Partner with engineers and architects to drive large-scale project exploration
Provide pragmatic advice to engineering leaders on investing in long-term architecture
Improve software construction quality and code reviews in agile environment
Lead and mentor large team of engineers, define operational excellence standards
