**Finance Officer**
A unique role offered by Local Government based in Sydney Leichhardt close to public transport offers a 3 to 9 months Finance Officer contract that could lead to longer-term opportunities, this role is primarily accountable, under asset capitalization, reconciliations, journals, and other ad-hoc tasks.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Reconciliation of work-in-progress accounts classifying transactions into assets/asset classes to manage, and capitalize transactions into the Fixed Asset Register
- Keeping a track of bulk purchase assets that require to be allocated and capitalized into numerous assets e.g.: radio and computer equipment.
- Extracting support from Oracle general ledger system to initiate the capitalization process
- Preparing the upload templates into the Fixed Asset Register including all supporting work papers
- Liaising with the project managers and obtaining information as required for capitalization purposes
- Other ad-hoc duties as may be required
- **Skills & Experience you need**:

- 5 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of Oracle accounting system
- CA or CPA required
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- Capability of working in a fast-paced environment, working independently/ without directions
