Rem/Benefit – $71k plus penalties (nights/weekends) plus super for working 38hrs per week with a lifestyle roster
About the role:
Our Jilalan depot is seeking additional shunters (trainee) to join the team.
This role will suit someone who is keen to commence working in the rail industry with good concentration skills and situational awareness.
This role will see you involved in coordinating movements of trains within a complex and busy yard.
Shunting and yard duties (including cleaning)
Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
Provide excellent customer service.
About you:
You are keen to commence or continue a career in the rail industry and are interested in working around heavy equipment.
All-encompassing focus on safety along with great people skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work a rotating shift roster including early starts, nights, weekends & public holiday.
Superior teamwork skills
Able to work outside for long periods of time.
Ability to meet CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment and other pre-offer checks.
Current unrestricted Class C drivers' licence
