Job Position: Forklift Operator and Parcel Sorter

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Forklift Operator/Parcel Sorter at our Mackay facility.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for pallet breakdown, labelling and sorting of parcel freight and cartons, loading and unloading of trucks and managing freight movement.

A strong knowledge of the local area is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and assist with pallet breakdown, labelling and sorting of parcel freight and cartons
  • Load and unload trucks and manage freight movement
  • Maintain accurate records and all required documentation
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet schedules and escalate any issues related to processes, safety and operations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in the transport industry
  • A valid Forklift licence is essential
  • Ability to adhere to workplace health and safety regulations
  • High level of physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive lifting tasks
  • Strong local knowledge of the area
  • Ability to work independently
