In the role of Advisor (Rail Contracts Management) you will support the Manager (Rail Contracts Management), other senior staff and team members, by providing efficient and effective contract management and analytical skills associated with rail services as and when required.
**Accountabilities include**:
- Monitor and review contractual documentation for passenger rail services. Assist in the development, implementation and day to day management of contracts and engage with legal teams and other third-party entities on contractual matters as required.
- Assist in monitoring and measuring performance of rail services to optimise value for money and Customer Service outcomes on behalf of the State.
- Review and analyse performance reports and data, providing advice to senior officers, ensuring compliance with contracts.
- Examine and analyse complex information and issues, actively participate in identifying potential solutions with regard to passenger rail contracts.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with team members and manage the changing needs and expectations of stakeholders as required.
- Assist in the development and delivery of business improvement initiatives, particularly those associated with the governance framework for passenger rail service contracts.
- Provide advice regarding passenger rail contracts to ensure Government's interests are advocated for and protected in the planning, delivery and management of rail transport outcomes.
- Assist as a key contact for enquiries, facilitating a range of business and project activities which support and enhance the delivery of the department's passenger rail contracts.
- Prepare reports and correspondence on behalf of the Minister, Director-General, General Manager and Executive Director including Cabinet Submissions, briefing notes, financial reports and business cases under direction from the Manager and Director as required.
- Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.
This position reports to the Manager (Rail Contracts Management) and has no direct reports
