**About the Role**

As the Event Planning Manager, you will be responsible for managing all residential MICE groups effectively and efficiently while adhering to hotel and Hyatt brand standards ensuring an excellent and consistent level of service is provided to our clients and guests at all times.

**Some of the responsibilities include**:

- Acquiring and developing existing clients
- Together, with the Event Planning team, you will primarily be responsible for planning and executing MICE events
- Be the main liaison for all residential MICE group clients
- Obtain all the clients event requirements and communicate this information to the necessary departments
- Review MICE files to ensure correct booking procedures, including group room and meeting programs, catering set up and themes and contractual agreements
- Assist with the preparation and regular update of the departmental budget
- Deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional client service at all times

**Qualifications**:
**What you bring to the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality / Event Management or related business education
- Previous experience in event planning, catering sales or group room sales
- Previous experience in managing and coordinating a portfolio consisting of high profile clients
- A creative aptitude to actively incorporate a sense of originality into individual events
- A strong attention to detail, exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build rapport with clients
- Well-developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, Event Management Software (Envision) and Room Management Systems (Opera) would be of advantage
