In this role, you will undertake effective rostering to meet the diverse needs of Boroondara's children and families. You will recognise when support is needed from the MCH Coordinator for more complex scenarios. Staying in touch with industry trends, you will proactively identify opportunities for service delivery enhancements. You will ensure appropriate coverage for customer-facing services and conduct professional development processes for the team.
Additionally, you will work with administration functions across the team to provide cross-functional coverage as required.
A little bit about the role
As the Team Leader Maternal and Child Health, you will lead a team of universal maternal and child health staff. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the continuation of high-quality maternal and child health services. You will work closely with the Maternal and Child Health Coordinator, sharing child safety responsibilities and providing support in complex cases. Your ability to schedule appropriate coverage ensures that the service is readily available for parents and caregivers. You will implement professional development opportunities to keep staff motivated and engaged.

You are a dedicated professional with a passion for maternal and child health. Your leadership skills are complemented by your ability to work collaboratively with the Maternal and Child Health Coordinator. You are proactive, customer-centric, and committed to maintaining the high standards of service that Boroondara families have come to expect.
Your expertise in child safety and effective rostering ensures that the diverse needs of children and families are met. You stay informed about industry trends and are always looking for ways to enhance service delivery.
Employment Requirements
Registered Nurse & Midwife recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
A post graduate qualification in Maternal & Child Health
Proven leadership skills in staff management, supports the strengths and development required of both individuals and the team
Strong clinical skills, knowledge and experience in managing risk associated with the delivery of MCH universal services
Experience in implementing a customer centric approach to service delivery and proactively improves the experience for families
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
