**The Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity to lead the subsurface and utilities section of our business in the NSW/ACT region. We're already working on some of NSW's major infrastructure projects including Sydney Metro, the M6 and Warringah Freeway, and you'll be tasked with the successfully managing our ongoing operations to deliver for our clients, whilst pursuing opportunities to grow and take the business to the next level across the region.

The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Manage small to large scale projects
- Understand different client's needs to ensure accuracy in deliverables
- Manage day to day activities of a subsurface team
- Manage and quality control reports to clients
- In partnership with our national colleagues, identify new procedures and technologies
- Build a talented team of professionals and create/maintain training and improvement programs
- Build a reputation for excellence and innovation
- Overall budget and P&L performance
- Develop and deliver competitive quotes and tenders
- Actively pursue and identify business opportunities for both the Subsurface division and other Veris service lines
- Develop collaborative relationships and technological ties with subsurface colleagues in other states to ensure consistency in deliverables and industry best practices.

**About You**

To be successful in this pivotal role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- The ability to forge productive relationships with existing and new clients, in order to create opportunities that match the business strategy
- Highly developed relationship management skills resulting in ability to actively engage internal and external stakeholders
- Proven understanding of a business where utilisation & efficiency is the key to success
- Proven experience in Australian Standard AS 5488-2019 Classification of Subsurface Utility Information (SUI)
- Excellence in communication and client relationship management
- Ability to think strategically and innovatively to build the service within your region
- Ability to work cohesively with all service sectors of the Veris business
