About the role:

We are seeking an experienced surveyor with a strong background in utility surveying with a proven understanding of Transport for NSW's G73 Utility Investigation requirements.

Core responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordination, and execution of underground utility surveys
  • Carry out utility surveys in accordance with G73 specifications and AS5488
  • Interpret BYDA information and integrate with survey data
  • Manage data processing, quality assurance, and preparation of utility models and reports
  • Mentoring and training of staff
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate deliverables and compliance

Key requirements:

  • Surveying qualification (Diploma or Degree) or equivalent field experience
  • Previous experience on TfNSW or local council infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience in utility surveying within NSW
  • Sound working knowledge of TfNSW G73 Utility Investigation specifications
  • Proficiency in AS5488 utility classification and survey standards
  • Strong knowledge of survey equipment and software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites
  • Experience with GPR, EM locating, and other underground detection methods (desirable)
  • Accreditation with recognised utility locating associations (e.g. NULCA) (desirable)
