**National Governance and Controls Manager - Personal Injury**

**What if you could turn your job into a career with purpose? **We have a newly created opportunity for a National Governance and Controls Manager to lead the design and implementation of governance strategies and frameworks within our Compulsory Third Party and CCI/Life claims teams to ensure alignment with internal policies and external requirements against relevant codes, regulations, guidelines and licence requirements.

**It will be your responsibility to**:

- Lead the delivery of governance activities, including the design and implementation of strategies and frameworks.
- Work closely with National Manager, Quality and Technical to ensure assurance frameworks operate in alignment with Allianz' risk and compliance requirements and external/regulatory expectations.
- Provide expert technical support on governance requirements and risk/compliance frameworks.
- Identify and implement opportunities to create efficiency in governance frameworks, whilst maintaining effectiveness.
- Provide reporting to the leadership team to ensure oversight of performance, which enhances robust review of efficiency and effectiveness of governance and controls.
- Ensure adherence to Internal Policy and Procedures including delegations of authority.
- Maintain, upgrade and propose improvement to key Policy and Procedures, guidelines and processes in accordance with Allianz requirements including the Corporate Rules Management Policy/Procedure activity.
- Work alongside each Head of Claims regulatory reform proposals, including input into, and representation at Insurance Council of Australia forums or industry submissions.
- Assist to review and respond to adverse regulatory findings received via censure notices or formal regulatory actions.
- Promote a strong risk awareness culture through continual engagement with the leadership team.
- Maintain a forward view of major upcoming regulatory requirements and business deliverables to ensure Allianz understands, responds and provides valuable submissions.
- Ensure escalation of risks and issues and reporting of actual or potential issues in accordance with Allianz requirements, and assist with innovative, proactive and practical solutions to these risks/issues.

**Important to your success**:

- **Significant assurance experience acquired in a complex, matrixed general insurance or financial services organisation. Experience in a personal injury claims business desired.**:

- **Understanding of quality assurance processes, requirements and practices.**:

- **Sound business acumen, business planning, data management experience**:

- **Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles and process, risk and control analysis and three lines of defence model.**:

- **Proven analytical and critical capability to interpret a range of data and report requirements and inform judgement and solutions**:

- Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, external partners and suppliers to establish strong relationships and influence outcomes.
