**About IEEFA**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Research, interpret, and publish reports, analyses, and commentaries on energy finance issues across South Korea, with a focus on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and alternative energy sources such as hydrogen.
- Assess and analyze South Korea's current fuel-energy mix and proposals to transition to alternative energies - differentiating amongst short, medium, and longer-term prospects.
- Assess South Korea's financial (and other) support for energy sectors and transitions in other Asian countries, whether via public funding sources or commercial financial institutions.
- Conduct financial analysis, financial modelling, and market analysis in Excel.
- Build industry, government, regulator, and finance contacts to understand different perspectives to better inform research.
- Establish and engage with relevant stakeholders in private and public sectors across South Korea and represent IEEFA at meetings and industry events.
- Provide insights to the media and respond to requests for views to assist in building an informed public media narrative on South Korea's energy transition and specifically on LNG-related issues.
- Create and update PowerPoint presentations for public, media, and industry briefings.

**Required Skills & Qualifications
An understanding of the South Korean energy economics and a variety of energy technologies is strongly preferred. Qualifications sought include:

- A degree in finance, economics, accounting, or engineering and/or with professional certifications (e.g. CFA) or appropriate and relevant market-oriented experience in lieu of those degrees
- Five or more years' relevant experience in finance, market analysis, and/or energy or related fields
- Knowledge of and/or experience with the LNG sector
- Experience analyzing financial reporting, equities, and investment portfolios
- Competence in presenting insights on companies' financial performance
- Expert understanding of finance, economics, and quantitative analysis
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and with good political judgment both orally and in writing

**Term & Schedule
Full time on a 12-month fixed term employment contract with the option of extension by mutual agreement. Remuneration based on experience.
